Both aircraft arrived at the Democratic Republic of Congo’s capital N’djili airport on 27 November.
The Turkish A330-200F’s right-hand winglet appears to have struck the A350’s left-hand elevator, resulting in damage, images circulating on social media indicate.
Ethiopian’s aircraft (ET-AWO) had been formally handed over to the carrier on 4 October, Airbus’s official records show.
Turkish Airlines received the A330 freighter involved (TC-JOV) in April 2016.
Circumstances of the accident have yet to be detailed by investigating authorities.
