Geneva-headquartered OnAir confirms it has appointed industry veteran Ian Dawkins as CEO of the Airbus/SITA joint venture.

A former senior vice-president and head of future programmes for Airbus, Dawkins succeeds Benoit Debains, who will return to Airbus in Toulouse.

Debains, who held the top post at OnAir for three-and-a-half years, "has made a significant contribution to the growth of OnAir in various segments which has helped to drive critical transformational developments of the business on which we can build a solid future", says OnAir chairman Francesco Violante in a statement. "We thank him for his great commitment and wish him success in his future endeavours."

Violante says Dawkins "will shape the company towards a global expansion".
