Germany’s Flight Design delivered 120 light aircraft last year and plans to ship between 220 and 240 this year. The company’s US distributor sold 170 CT light-sport aircraft last year, delivering 45, and the backlog is now nine months, the company says.

Dutch investigators probing the fatal crash of a Blackshape Aircraft BK 160 are trying to determine whether external burn marks arose from an in-flight or post-impact fire.
