Saudi Arabian budget carrier Flynas has disclosed that it is tentatively taking 10 Airbus A321XLRs, and is converting 10 A320neos to the larger A321neo variant.

Flynas operates a fleet of 30 A320s and two A320neos, having signed for 80 of the re-engined version.

No engine selection has been given for the 10 XLRs but Flynas is unlikely to switch away from the CFM International Leap-1As powering the A320neos.

Airbus says the agreement for the XLRs is the subject of a memorandum of understanding.
