Asian lessor Hong Kong Aviation Capital is intending to order 60 Airbus A320neo-family twinjets.

It has signed a memorandum of understanding for 40 A320neo and 20 A321neo aircraft during the Paris air show, says the airframer.

"All of our business over the last two years has been sale and lease-backs of Airbus A320 and A330 aircraft," says the lessor's chief executive, Donal Boylan.

"This is our first direct order with any aircraft manufacturer and our first commitment for the A320neo."

It has not disclosed any delivery dates or engine selections for the jets.
