Russian airframer Irkut has tested various configurations of the MC-21's high-lift devices during its latest flight.

Irkut said, during the Paris air show, that the tests were conducted during the fifth flight of the twinjet, which first flew towards the end of May.

The MC-21 carried out a 2h 10min sortie with its crew performing tests of the high-lift devices in "all configurations", including approach and landing trials.

Irkut says it is aiming to undertake 30 initial development flights with the MC-21 before progressing with the formal certification effort.
