Boeing will deliver the first 777-200LR to Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) this month, following last week’s US and European certification of the ultra-long-range airliner. Two -200LRs will be delivered this year – the two development aircraft (WD001 and 002) that have been reworked for PIA after completing the 886h/328 flight test programme. The next -200LR deliveries will be to Air India, with three due in the first half of 2007 and a fourth in the second half. Boeing holds orders for 29 of the General Electric GE90-110B-powered twinjets, with other customers including Air Canada, Emirates and EVA Air.
