Launch customer All Nippon Airways has taken delivery of its 50th Boeing 787, becoming the first carrier to do so.
The 787-9, which features a small "ANA's 50th 787" decal on its forward fuselage, was handed over in a ceremony at Boeing’s Everett delivery centre on 17 August.

"The 787 Dreamliner has played a significant role in opening up new routes into new markets, while also forming the backbone of our long-haul fleet," said ANA president and chief executive Osamu Shinobe.
Flight Fleets Analyzer shows that the airline has 35 of the smaller 787-8s in service, while one is in storage under repair following a recent engine failure.
The latest delivery also brings its 787-9 fleet to 14 units, with a further 30 on order. ANA also has orders for three of the stretched -10 variant.
FlightGlobal schedules data shows that ANA deploys its 787s on services to Europe, North America and across Asia-Pacific, as well as on some domestic routes.
