The first Airbus A380 for Air France has emerged from the Toulouse final assembly hall. This picture, revealed by Flightblogger, shows the otherwise green A380 (MSN033) with an Air France coloured fin.

The aircraft, which is currently engineless, will be equipped with four Engine Alliance GP7200s and then flown to Hamburg for cabin furnishing.

Air France plans to equip its A380s with a relatively dense 538-seat cabin in a three-class layout. The upper deck will hold 186 seats - 80 business class and 106 economy. On the main deck there will be 352 seats - nine first class and 343 economy.

The A380 is the first of 12 for Air France and is due for delivery in April next year, registered F-HPJA. The aircraft will be operated on routes to the East Coast of the USA and Japan

The French carrier is due to become the fourth operator of the ultra-large aircraft, after launch operator Singapore Airlines and Emirates and Qantas which will take their first A380s during 2008.
