Garuda Indonesia has taken delivery of the first of 14 Airbus A330-900 aircraft it has on order.
The aircraft is configured with 301 seats – 24 in business and 277 in economy class – and its increased range will allow the airline to operate non-stop services from Jakarta to destinations in Europe, says Airbus.
Images shown on social media indicate that PK-GHE (MSN 1947) is the first to be delivered, and it landed in Jakarta on 17 November.
Cirium fleets data shows that Garuda now operates seven A330-200s and 17 -300s. It also indicates that MSNs 1946 and 1948 are scheduled to arrive this year, while MSNs 1958, 1959 and 1961 will be delivered in 2020.
