Boeing delivered 737 Max 8 aircraft to two new operators – Air Canada and Air China -- within the last three days this week.

The latest hand-overs raise Boeing’s total delivery count for 737-8s this year to at least 35, according to Flight Fleets Analyzer.

Boeing has committed to deliver between 50 and 80 737 Max aircraft this year, or about 10-15% of about 522 projected deliveries of 737s overall, including the 737NG family.

Boeing delivered the first 737-8 to Batik in May.

Air China becomes the first Chinese operator to take delivery of the 737-8 (above). Boeing says it expects to deliver 100 737 Max to Chinese customers by the end of next year.

Air Canada took delivery of the carrier’s first re-engined 737 with little fanfare on 1 November (below), except for a tweeted acknowledgement of the event by the Star Alliance carrier.
