The first Israeli air force squadron to receive the Israel Aerospace Industries Heron TP unmanned air vehicle has achieved operational status.

The largest medium-altitude, long-endurance UAV to have been developed by IAI's Malat division, the Heron TP was designed to meet the air force's multi-mission requirements by carrying multiple payloads simultaneously.
