Polish flag-carrier LOT is broadening its long-haul network with services to Los Angeles from April next year.
The Star Alliance member states that it will use Boeing 787s on the route, which will be flown four-times weekly.
LOT operates to the US cities of New York and Chicago. It also serves Toronto in Canada as part of its North American coverage.
The airline has recently opted to restart a connection to Newark which it dropped a few years ago.
LOT claims the new Warsaw-Los Angeles link will be the first nonstop service to the US city from Central Europe, although the carrier served Los Angeles more than two decades ago.
“[Passengers] no longer have to change aircraft at crowded Western European hubs with our excellent alternative,” says LOT chief Rafal Milczarski.
