Italian companies are set to acquire a "large number" of Sukhoi Superjet 100s, according to Russian prime minister Vladimir Putin. Speaking to a conference on strategy for socio-economic development of Russia's far eastern region to 2020 - where Sukhoi manufactures the Superjet, at its Komsomolsk-on-Amur plant - Putin says the attention is "no longer about prototypes but valuable serial production".
