Qatar to open Angolan services

Oneworld alliance carrier Qatar Airways is opening services to the Angolan capital Luanda next year.

It says it will operate up to five-times weekly to the city from its base at Doha, with initial services commencing in March 2020.

Qatar Airways will use Boeing 787s on the route configured in a two-class layout featuring 22 business- and 232 economy-class seats.

The airline already operates extensively to Africa, with 24 destinations in 17 countries on the continent.

Qatar Airways is set to open flights to Botswana in October, and recently added African links to Rabat and Mogadishu.

Emirates also offers a Gulf connection to Luanda with services from Dubai.
