Rockwell Collins and China Leihua Electronic Technology Research Institute (LETRI) have formed AVIC Leihua Rockwell Collins Avionics to develop, manufacture and deliver integrated surveillance system products for the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (Comac) C919 programme.
Rockwell Collins is also providing communication, navigation, cabin management and in-flight entertainment systems for the family of single-aisle aircraft, in addition to its advanced avionics technology and international avionics technical services.
The manufacturing will begin once the agreement conditions have been satisfied and approval is obtained from the authorities in China.
LETRI is a subsidiary of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC).
