Rolls-Royce is valuing at $800 million, in list-price terms, an order to fit Trent XWB engines to the Airbus A350 XWB aircraft ordered by International Lease Finance (ILFC) last month.

ILFC has revised an order for 16 original A350s and converted it to an order for 20 A350 XWBs, for delivery from April 2014.

The Trent XWB is still the only powerplant available on the aircraft. Ground-testing of the engine is planned for 2010 with first flight during the following year.

Rolls-Royce says the agreement brings to 70 the number of Trent-powered widebodies ILFC has on order, adding that the lessor has 61 already in its portfolio.
