Star Alliance carrier Scandinavian Airlines’ Swedish operation is to open three new routes to Spain later this year.

It will begin flights from Gothenburg to both Barcelona and Malaga as well as start services on the Stockholm-Barcelona route.

All three services will operate twice-weekly. Gothenburg-Malaga flights, using Boeing 737-800s, will open on 9 October and Barcelona, served by Boeing MD-80s, will follow on 2 November.

Scandinavian Airlines’ Stockholm-Barcelona flights will commence on 25 October, operated by 737-800s. The new routes will give the airline increased access to Star partner Spanair’s network.
