Singapore Airlines (SIA) and the Lufthansa Group will expand their codeshare agreement to cover over 20 new routes.

Under the expanded agreement, SIA will place its SQ code on Lufthansa and Swiss-operated flights out of Munich and Zurich, respectively.

The destinations via Munich include Berlin, Brussels and Geneva, while those out of Zurich include Graz, Hamburg and Stuttgart.

In turn, Lufthansa and Swiss will put their codes on SIA-operated services in Southeast Asia and the Southwest Pacific.

The expanded codeshares come after the two airline groups signed a joint venture agreement last November to deepen cooperation in key markets in Europe, Southeast Asia and Australia.
