Maintenance, repair and overhaul firm SIA Engineering has inked a contract with Airbus to maintain Singapore Airlines' (SIA) future fleet of 15 Airbus 330-300 aircraft.

Under the contract, the MRO firm will provide services such as transit and light maintenance checks, defect rectification, cabin maintenance, fleet management and heavy maintenance checks for the aircraft at its facility in Singapore, SIA Engineering said in a stock exchange statement.

SIA is expected to take delivery of the A330s from 2013.

SIA Engineering is a member of the Airbus MRO network, which ensures that Airbus customers get quality maintenance services from appointed firms.
