Airbus has secured its first A350-1000 order this year, having recorded an agreement for a single aircraft with an unidentified customer.

The airframer disclosed the order in its latest backlog figures covering the seven months from January-July.

It also confirmed the order for three more A330-200s for IAG, which had previously stated that it was taking the aircraft for its long-haul budget operation Level.

The four aircraft comprised the only additional order activity for Airbus last month.

Airbus's total net orders for this year reached 205, lagging the 386 which rival Boeing had secured by 25 July.

It also delivered 353 aircraft including 36 A350s and seven A380s.
