Portable in-flight entertainment (IFE) specialist e.Digital has inked a deal to supply its new touch-screen eVU handheld units to SriLankan Airlines.
The eVU system features a multi-language, customised interface and 20-plus hours of continuous video playback from a single battery charge. Specific terms of the deal between e.Digital and SriLankan have not been disclosed.
"We chose e.Digital because of their reputation of providing a rugged, high quality IFE product and excellent customer service," says SriLankan Airlines head of service delivery Milinda Ratnayake.
To date, more than 30 airlines have made dedicated portable systems powered by e.Digital technology their in flight entertainment choice, according to e.Digital.
