ST Aerospace secured S$520 million ($374 million) worth of new MRO contracts in the quarter ended 30 September.

Among the new contracts include a freighter conversions on four Airbus A330-300s for DHL Express. The first aircraft for conversion has already inducted into EFW's Dresden facility.

The MRO also clinched a five-year agreement with an international airline to provide airframe heavy maintenance support for the airline’s Boeing 767 and 777 fleets, and conduct cabin refurbishments of the seven 777-300ERs.

In addition, an unnamed airline has signed up for ST Aero’s pilot training programme, which will see its cadets will undergo a 15-month integrated commercial pilot license programme in Ballarat, Australia.

The company also said that it expanded its capabilities for 787 electrical systems, while it adds that its capacity expansion are “continuing as planned” with its Guangzhou and Pensacola hangars scheduled to be operational by 2017 and 2018, respectively

During the quarter, ST Aero processed a total of 11,772 components, 35 landing gear sets and 42 engines, while 2,537 engine washes were conducted for both commercial and military customers. Around 97 composite shipsets were redelivered to aircraft OEMs.
