Portuguese-based TAP Maintenance & Engineering has retrofitted an Airbus A319 executive jet with ‘sharklet’ wing-tips, the first such modification for the corporate type.

The ACJ319 is part of the fleet of business aviation specialist Comlux.

Comlux chief Richard Gaona says the retrofit illustrates an “innovative approach” to offering customers a “modern and handsome” jet fleet.

The modification is the first on any version of the A319, says Airbus.

Airbus is offering sharklet retrofit on all A320-family jets from MSN1200 upwards. The wing-tips are an option on new-build A320s and standard on the A320neo.
