Tianjin Airlines has set up a new base at Chongqing, with plans to launch more services out of the city.

In a statement, the carrier says it has an Airbus A330 and an A320 based there.

From 8 July, the carrier will launch daily services from Chongqing to Ningbo, Nanchang and Hefei.

On 31 October, it will also serve Melbourne from the city.

FlightGlobal schedules data shows that Tianjin Airlines will operate to seven points in China, including Ningbo, Nanchang and Hefei. It also has intercontinental services to London, Moscow and Auckland.

Sichuan Airlines, Air China and West Air are the largest operators out of Chongqing, by seat capacity.
