Prohibitions on electronic devices on UK-bound services from Jordan have been lifted, following a review by UK authorities.

Jordan had been among six countries affected by the ban, imposed in March, which prevented passengers from carrying large electronic devices in the aircraft cabin.

Royal Jordanian Airlines says the ban has been lifted on its flights from Amman – from which British Airways also serves the UK – as of 4 August.

It states that lifting the restrictions was conditional on airlines' applying additional security measures for UK-bound flights.
