Ukrainian investigators have disclosed that they are probing an overrun by an Embraer ERJ-145 at Zaporizhia.
National investigation authority NBAAI states that the incident involved a Windrose Airlines aircraft (UR-DNF) landing on runway 02 on 1 September.
The single runway at Zaporizhia, designated 02/20, is around 2,500m in length.
None of the passengers or crew members was injured, and the jet – a 16-year old airframe previously operated by Flybe and Dniproavia – was undamaged.
At the time of the incident, around 10:20, meteorological data for the airport indicated reduced visibility and rain showers, with winds varying from crosswinds to tailwinds.
