The US Export-Import Bank (Ex-Im) has approved financing to Norwegian for four Boeing 737-800s.

The board approved the financial support, which will be either a long-term loan or loan guarantee, at its meeting today, according to a tweet by US Ex-Im chairman and president Fred Hochberg.

Norwegian has firm orders for 64 737-800s plus an order for 100 737 Max 8 aircraft, according to Flightglobal's Ascend Online database.

US Ex-Im disclosed Norwegian's request for financial support in April.
