A UTair ATR 72 aircraft with 43 people on board crashed in Russia's Siberia region early Monday morning.

The incident happened shortly after the aircraft took off from Roschino International Airport near Tyumen, according to reports in Russia. It was bound for Surgut, also a city in Siberia.

There were numerous fatalities from the 39 passengers and four crew members on board, added the reports.

Officials from the airline or the airport were not available for comment.

UTair operates three ATR 72-200s and 15 ATR 72-500s, according to Flightglobal's ACAS database.
