VIDEO: Leaders focus on disruptors at Farnborough round table

During day one of the Farnborough air show, a broad panel of airline and leasing industry leaders debated the key disruptors likely to affect aviation over the next decade.

Disruptive effects from long-haul low-cost carriers, the need to increase gender diversity and the glut of aircraft types on the market were among the subjects debated during the Airline Chiefs Strategy Round Table, organised by Farnborough and FlightGlobal.

The panel comprised chief executives and leaders from eight airlines and lessors, including Adel Ali of Air Arabia, Aengus Kelly from AerCap, SpiceJet's Ajay Singh, Calin Rovinescu of Air Canada, Saudia's Jaan Albrecht, Christine Ourmieres-Widener of Flybe, Kresimir Kucko from Gulf Air and Air Lease's Steven Udvar-Hazy.

The event was chaired by Alan Peaford, editor-in-chief of Farnborough video channel FINN, and moderated by FlightGlobal's executive director content, Max Kingsley-Jones.
