Viva Macau suspends Sydney service; increases Melbourne flights

Viva Macau is suspending its thrice-weekly Sydney service, but plans to increase services to Melbourne.

The Sydney service will be suspended from 28 March, and the carrier will increase its Melbourne service to thrice-weekly from twice-weekly from that day, says CEO Reg Macdonald.

However, the airline will actively monitor the route and aims to resume Sydney services in December, in time for the peak travel season, he says.

Viva Macau operates Boeing 767s and is the only airline operating between Macau and Australia, according to Innovata.
