French investigators have completed the extraction of information from the cockpit-voice and flight-data recorders of the West Caribbean Airways Boeing MD-82 that crashed in Venezuela last month. Investigation agency Bureau d’Enquetes et d’Analyses (BEA) has handed the results of its work to the Venezuelan and French judicial authorities as well as investigation personnel from the four states involved. BEA has not disclosed any information from the CVR and FDR recordings. Flight WCW708 came down while en route from Panama to Martinique on 16 August with the loss of all 160 passengers and crew.
