Wizz Air has disclosed plans to operate Suceava airport's first scheduled international route.

The low-cost carrier says it will begin a twice-weekly service from the Romanian gateway to Milan Bergamo on 3 August.

Flightglobal's Innovata schedules confirm that there are currently no scheduled international flights from Suceava, although Romanian national carrier Tarom provides a domestic link to Bucharest.

Wizz has additionally revealed its intent to start flying from Serbia's Nis airport to Munich Memmingen and Eindhoven on 1 August.
