Nikolai Kuznetsov

Russian aircraft-engine designer Nikolai Kuznetsov has died, aged 85. Kuznetsov set up the Kuznetsov design bureau in the 1940s, providing engines for aircraft such as the Tupolev Tu-95 and Tu-144, and the Ilyushin Il-62. His last project was the NK-93 engine, intended for the Ilyushin Il-96 and Tupolev Tu-204.
