Norwegian Air Shuttle is to use the brand name Norwegian on its new low-fare domestic services. The regional, which used to operate on behalf of Braathens before the latter's take-over by SAS, will operate a fleet of Boeing 737s to serve high-frequency routes from Oslo Gardemoen to Bergen, Stavanger, Tromso and Trondheim. The carrier has been boosted by the award of a contract to carry Norwegian government officials.
