Air Canada's unsecured creditors and its monitor recommended a court approve the airline's restructuring plan so the carrier can emerge from bankruptcy protection by October. More than 99% of unsecured creditors approved the plan, although some would get only a fraction of their claims, which could total $8.3 billion. Air Canada plans a formal emergence from bankruptcy protection 18 months after filing.
