The FAA has extended voluntary flight reductions at Chicago O'Hare until November and may keep them in place until April 2008. The FAA estimates that maintaining limits on the number of arrivals until then would result in a 42% reduction in delays at the airport. It is also proposing to evaluate delays at the airport every six months for the next three years, when O'Hare's expansion starts to come online.
