The first launch of a Rockwell AGM-130 standoff weapon with both global-positioning/inertial-navigation mid-course guidance and an improved focal-plane-array infrared seeker resulted in a direct hit. The April launch from a US Air Force McDonnell Douglas F-15E demonstrated an offset-heading release in reduced visibility.
