Space-technology company Orbital Sciences, of Dulles, Virginia, has promoted Jeffrey Pirone to senior vice-president and chief financial officer. Pirone, who has been acting chief financial officer since April, was formerly vice-president and controller. Barron Beneski is named director of public relations. He was previously public relations director for United Express carrier Atlantic Coast Airlines, of Washington Dulles Airport.
