Aircraft lessor SMBC Aviation Capital has added 10 Boeing 737 Max 8s to the 80 it already had on order.
"Last year we placed the largest-ever single order of 737 Max [aircraft] by a lessor, and we are pleased to be adding further to that tally today," says the lessor's chief executive Peter Barrett.
Flightglobal's Ascend Fleets database lists 399 aircraft, including 186 737s, in the Dublin-based lessor's portfolio. In addition to the 90 Max 8s, it has 110 Airbus A320neos on order, plus seven A320ceos, five A321ceos and seven 737-800s.
