EADS-owned rotorcraft manufacturer Eurocopter has awarded Daher-Socata a contract to develop and produce airframes for its range of light helicopters. Production is set to begin in early 2012 at Daher-Socata's plant in Tarbes in the south-west of France, where it manufactures its TBM 850 single-engined turboprops.
Meanwhile, Danish offshore services provider Dancopter, which serves the oil and gas industries, has taken delivery of Eurocopter's 100th EC155 helicopter.
