Boullioun Aviation Services has announced new lease deals for six Boeing aircraft to four customers at the show. Deutsche BA is leasing three new Boeing 737-300s in Boullioun's first euro-denominated transaction. The aircraft will be delivered to Deutsche BA in the second half of this year. The company is placing one used 737-400 with Greek carrier Cronus Airlines, a 757-200 with US start-up National Airlines and a 737-400 with Icelandair in a sale and lease-back deal. Boullioun has also confirmed that half of the 30 Airbus A320s the company has on firm order will be powered by International Aero Engines V2500 engines. Jet Airways has firmed up options on ten 737-800s. Deliveries take place between 2001 and 2003. The Indian carrier has 25 737s and is adding four aircraft over the next few months. Midway Airlines has ordered 15 737-700s and has 10 options. The US airline is also to lease two 737-700s from GE Capital Aviation Services. The CIT Group has announced an order for 10 Next Generation 737s. Deliveries start in the second quarter of 2001 and continue until 2003. Air Lanka has signed a deal with Airbus for three additional A330-200s, bringing to nine the total order from the Sri Lankan carrier. Deliveries begin in October. German regional airline Eurowings has ordered five ATR 72-500 turpoprops, saying the type is part of a fleet renewal programme to reduce its fleet of 27 older ATR 42s and 72s with 10 newer -500s.
