Middle-Eastern carrier Saudi Arabian Airlines has selected Goodrich to provide wheels and carbon brakes for the airline's fleet of 12 Boeing 777-300ERs.

Under the agreement, Goodrich will supply the carrier with Duracarb proprietary braking systems, which offer a 35% brake life advantage compared with the competition, said the manufacturer.

Saudi currently has 23 777-200s in service and 12 Boeing 777-300ERs on order 

 

Saudi Arabian's first 777-300ER is scheduled for delivery in January 2012, added Goodrich.

The deal complements the airline's Goodrich-equipped fleet of 747-400s and 777-200s.
