Jean Paul Bernard has been appointed to the new management position of vice president Europe in Snecma's Military Engine Division. He was previously VP, industrial and commercial affairs at the French company's Rocket Engine division. Ed Barker has been promoted to VP purchasing at Dassault Falcon Jet's Little Rock facility in Arkanas. He was previously director of materiel. The US Federal Aviation Administration has named Bill Peacock as its director of air traffic services. Prior to the appointment he was programme director for air traffic tactical operations. Indian Airlines has filled the post of deputy managing directors after a gap of more than six months. They are Amitabh Ghosh, previously responsible for Indian Airlines' fleet evaluation programme, and Vinoo Kashyap, previously director of stores and purchases for the carrier. Rockwell Collins has appointed Mark Harris VP of maintenance operations. He replaces Kent Slater who was recently appointed VP, lean electronics at the US avionics company. Scott Gunnufson becomes VP, business operations, a post which also includes overseeing Intertrade, the avionics and airframe components resale subsidiary. Aviall has appointed Jack Schofield, the Airbus North America chairman to its board of directors. Northrop Grumman's Integrated Systems Sector has promoted Tom Vice to VP-Materiel, the operation responsible for US and international procurement. Previously Vice was VP business and advanced systems development for the Air Combat Systems business area at ISS. Air France chairman and chief executive Jean-Cyril Spinetta is to be the chairman of the Association of European Airlines for 2001. L-3 Communications has appointed Ralph DeNino as its first VP procurement. He was previously principal associate with DeNino group, and earlier worked with Lockheed Martin and Loral.
