Former ATR North America president John Moore has been appointed senior vice-president, commercial of the regional aircraft company. Moore joined the former AI(R) joint venture between ATR and the then British Aerospace, having previously been responsible for contracts at British Aerospace in both the Jetstream and Avro RJ divisions.
International distribution services and composite materials supplier UMECO Components has appointed Nick Robins as managing director of subsidiary Pattonair. Robins was previously managing director of McKechnie's Linread Northbridge organisation. UMECO has also appointed Liliana Diesel director and general manager of its North America-based Ulogistics operation. Diesel previously held senior positions at Nortel and at Bombardier Transportation and will be responsible for the management of the operation's headquarters in Montreal, together with any future satellite facilities, and for the development of the relationship between UMECO Components and Bombardier Aerospace. In a related move, David Wilkins has been promoted to managing director of the subsidiary's European operation.
Jan Nygren and Kenth-Åke Jönsson have been appointed executive vice-presidents of Saab, while the previous executive vice-president, Ingemar Andersson, has been appointed deputy chief executive. Together with Andersson, Nygren and Jönsson will have line responsibility for all Saab business units.
Mike Farge has been appointed managing director, engineering, of executive jet company Bookajet Operations, which has been rebranded Club328. He will be responsible for in-house and third party maintenance, initially on the Hawker 125 fleet, and will also work to integrate Club328 with AvCraft as the eight AvCraft Dornier 328Jets on order begin to be delivered. Bookajet has also appointed a new director of sales, Mike Ryan, who will lead the sales team in promoting the Club328 brand and services.
