Phase one

Japan's National Space Development Agency completed the third and final Phase 1 flight in its Automatic Landing Flight Experiment programme at Woomera, in South Australia, on 24 July. The scale-model prototype of the unmanned Hope spaceplane was dropped from a helicopter and it landed automatically.
