A study into the world military piston-trainer market over the next ten years has concluded that the business could be worth an estimated $2.7 billion. The Teal Group/ Arran Aerospace study says that around 4,425 of the 5,995 piston trainers in service today could be replaced within ten years, although it warns that an increasing number of customers will be switching to turboprops.
