Incorrectly flown airport approach procedures are blamed for the crash of a Macedonian government Beech King Air twin-turboprop in which the country's president Boris Trajkovski and all eight others on board died, according to an initial report by the Bosnian air accident investigation commission. The aircraft was descending into Mostar airport, Bosnia on 26 February in bad weather when it hit high ground. Mostar has a notoriously difficult dog-legged non-directional beacon/distance measuring equipment approach, and the report says the pilots descended too soon and failed to abort the approach when, for 18s, the signal from one of the navigation aids was lost.
