Cebu Pacific Air has firmed an order for 15 A320neo family aircraft, including up to 10 A321XLRs.

”Cebu Air signed a purchase agreement with Airbus for the order of 15 A320neo family aircraft which includes up to 10 A321XLR,” says the airline in a stock exchange filing. “The order for the said aircraft is valued at $2 billion based on list prices.”

The deal comes six weeks after the carrier firmed an order for 16 A330-900s. The low-cost carrier had announced its commitment to both deals at the Paris air show in June.

Cebu Pacific is set to receive the A330-900s in 2021, with the A321XLRs to be delivered from 2024. No timeline was provided for the A320neos.

Cirium fleets data indicates that the carrier has an in-service fleet of 54 aircraft: 30 A320s, four A320neos, seven A321s, five A321neos, and eight A330-300s.

The airline’s existing A321neos are powered by the Pratt & Whitney PW1000G, but the airline has not announced an engine selection for its fresh order of narrowbodies.
