The Qantas Group has reshuffled its executive leadership team, effective November.

Jetstar chief executive Jayne Hrdlicka will become chief executive of Qantas Loyalty and Digital Ventures, which will now also includes innovation, says Qantas in a statement.

Gareth Evans will leave his post as chief executive of Qantas International to head the Jetstar Group.

Alison Webster will be promoted from her role as executive manager of Qantas Freight, Catering and Airports to take over the post of chief executive of Qantas International.

Andrew David, chief executive of Qantas Domestic, will assume responsibility for Qantas Freight, Catering and Airports.

Olivia Wirth will take on responsibility for customer and digital strategy, in a new role of chief customer officer. This is in addition to her existing responsibilities for brand, marketing and corporate affairs.

Andrew Finch will take on the responsibility for the office of the chief executive in additional to his current responsibilities as general counsel and company secretary.

Finally, Jon Scriven, group executive of people and culture, will retire, with Lesley Grant stepping into the role and leaving the post of chief executive of Qantas Loyalty.

“Over the past three years, our senior executive team has led the Group through a major turnaround. We’re now entering a phase of ongoing improvement and innovation, and these changes will help drive that," says Qantas Group chief executive Alan Joyce. “This is also about making the best use of the considerable leadership talent at the top level of our organisation."

The announcement follows the release of Qantas' 2017 full-year results, which saw it post an underlying profit before tax of A$1.4 billion ($1.1 billion), down 8.5% from a year earlier, but still the second highest result in the carrier's history.

Qantas Group revenue fell 0.9% to A$16.1 billion. Net passenger revenue fell 1%, with international competition and the ramping up of new routes outweighing better unit revenue at the company's domestic businesses.
